who we are

we believe in roasting coffee in a way that respects the beans and the people who grew and processed them.

we believe in brewing coffee this way, too. it's worth the effort—and it's only a little effort and a little knowledge.

we believe that coffee should taste good. sometimes it's both ~interesting~ and good. but coffee is inherently complex and full of flavor and we've roasted it so that you can enjoy it, with or without cream.

  • we buy our green coffee beans from a retailer who works directly with coffee growers across the globe. we wouldn’t roast this coffee if the growers and processors weren’t both treated with business ethics we respected and trusted for their best practices.

  • we roast our coffee in a small-batch roaster, testing each bean until we’re sure the method we’ve chosen brings out the best of the beans’ potential.

  • currently we just roast single origin coffees, which means we’ve spent time with one bean and figured out how to roast and brew it to bring out it’s best natural qualities. stay tuned for exclusive blends that we feel equally as hyped about.

we are jacqui and dylan.

together, we have a combination of years as a barista and a love for all things complex and technical.

we love coffee, doing things well, the process of learning how to get there, and sharing any knowledge we’ve gained.

one of our favorite things to do together is to cook a really good meal for our friends. roasting coffee for you all feels like a natural extension of this for us.
